Season Updates

Louisa Little League Families,

We hope everyone is staying healthy through this challenging time. Our Board Members met by video chat this evening to come up with solutions to the many concerns facing our league right now. We wanted to share the great news with you that we will be having a season this year. We know that it may not look like a regular season, but we also know our players will be excited to be back on the field in a few months!

The current order issued by Governor Northam is in effect until June 10th, so our plan is to begin our season after that date and play through the summer. However, this is a fluid situation, and if the order is lifted early, we will move the date up accordingly. We will work out the specific details as the date approaches and provide you with more information at that time.

We know there will be many questions regarding the length of the season, number of games, scheduling, etc. and we will answer them closer to the start of the season, once we have more solidified answers to provide. Also, at this time, we don't have any new information from Little League International about whether there will be some sort of an All-Star season, or what that may look like. Once we receive any updates, we will pass them along!

Please know that the safety and health of our players is our top priority, and once our season begins, we will take all necessary precautions to help keep our players healthy. Thank you so much for your continued patience through this unprecedented time and please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have. We can't wait to see you all on the ball field again!
