In 1974, Louisa became a chartered member of the Little League International program, offering Little League Baseball to Louisa's youth. Twenty one years later in 1995, Louisa Little League added girls softball to accommodate the demand for the growing sport. Today, we continue to offer baseball and softball at the minor, major, and senior league divisions for approximately 400 girls and boys.
Louisa Little League is located in Louisa County, Virginia and is a member of Little League International's US Virginia District 14 along with Central, Culpeper, East Orange, Gordonsville, McIntire, Monticello, JAGS, Madison, and Rappahannock Little Leagues.
Louisa has always had a strong Little League program, claiming numerous district titles in both softball and baseball at all age levels and three state baseball titles - 2017 10-11 yr old division, 1993 13 yr old (junior) division, and 1982 senior division.
The next chapter of Louisa Little League: The Cooke Complex. In 2017, the Cooke Foundation donated 26 acres in Cuckoo to the league so that we can now have a facility, one central location, to call home. This generous gift will grow our league and benefit our community for years to come. For updates, please select "New Cooke Complex" under the "About Us" tab above.
